from the kitchen of Nicole Jordan
Serves 4-6
Preparation Time
10 minutes prep, 1 hour or longer to marinate, 5 minutes to cook
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chardonay (or whatever white wine is on hand; can also use rice wine or sake)
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 grilling steak
- canola oil (can substitute with olive oil or corn oil)
Directions
- Combine soy sauce, wine, garlic and corn starch.
- Slice the grilling steak in thin, 1-inch squares. Place in marinade, cover and let sit for an hour. (If marinating longer, put in the fridge.)
- Heat a wok or large skillet. Add the oil and heat until near smoking. Add the beef and marinade, and stir fry over high heat until it loses its raw color and slices separate.
- Serve over hot cooked rice.
